Art belongs in the card format
Painted art like this is why most of us started collecting in the first place. This shelf exists for that feeling: card sized art, made by hand, worth keeping. The artists here make originals in that spirit, credited and paid by name.
Custom Pokemon cards, done the honest way
Search for custom Pokemon cards and you will find two very different things sold under one name. The first is counterfeit adjacent: reproductions of real cards with altered art, official logos and layouts copied wholesale, sometimes even marketed for use in the game. We do not make those, full stop. The second thing is what this page sells: original art, by a named artist, in the trading card format, sold as art.
Every piece here is an original interpretation from the artist’s own hand. No official card layouts, no logos, no set symbols, no energy templates lifted from the real game. What you get instead is better: a named artist’s actual style, an edition size printed on the page, materials stated plainly, and the artist credited and linked everywhere the piece appears, because they keep the copyright and they promote their own drops.
Releases come as named drops: one artist, one set of pieces, announced when it is ready and gone when the edition sells through. The pipeline that feeds this shelf is the artist program, and the same artists paint the covers for our bulk binders. If you paint, the application takes five minutes.
Questions collectors ask
How much do custom Pokemon cards cost?
Drops price per piece by edition size and format, typically in the $20 to $60 band for prints and higher for one of a kind originals. Every product page states the price, the edition size, and the materials plainly. No auctions, no bidding, no surprises at checkout.
Are these real playing cards?
No, and we are careful about that on purpose. These are original works of art in the trading card FORMAT: card sized, card shaped, made to be displayed or collected. They are not reproductions of official cards, they do not copy official layouts, logos, or set symbols, and they are not for use in the game.
Who makes the art?
Independent artists we commission by name. Every piece credits its artist on the product page with links to their portfolio, and artists keep the copyright to their work under our written agreement. When a drop sells, the artist gets paid; that is the whole program.
What is a drop and when is the next one?
A drop is one artist releasing a named set of pieces at once, each with a stated edition size. Drops are announced on the blog and to artists followings. The first drop is being commissioned now; the artists page is where painters join the queue.
Can I commission a specific piece?
Not yet. The program starts with artist led drops because they let artists make their best work instead of chasing requests. If commissions open later, the terms will be published here first.
